Embark on a Medieval Summer Adventure at Wildlings Forest School's TWO DAY Summer Camp!
Calling all young knights, princesses, princes and adventurers! Step back in time and experience the magic of the Middle Ages at Wildlings Forest School's enchanting two-day summer camp. Set amidst beautiful natural spaces, this immersive Medieval-themed camp promises two days (9am - 4pm each day) filled with exciting activities, creativity, and outdoor exploration.
During these sessions, children will have supervised use of our hand tools including saws, hammers, hand drills and whittling knives. They will choose from a myriad of natural resources to inspire their imagination, encourage problem solving and engage their fine motor skills as they are given autonomy to explore and observe the natural world.
Over the two magical days children will:
Go on medieval quests: bushwalking, rockhopping and problem solving along the way
Construct medieval castles and other architecture from the middle ages
Design their own coat of arms
Whittle and construct weapons from the middle ages including swords, bows & arrows, shields, catapults and axes
Engage in (controlled, supervised) archery contests, jousting tournaments and sword fights
Experiment in the science of herbology and potion making
Undertake knighthood training, conquering obstaces courses in the natural world
Build rafts to explore territory unknown (available if creek deemed suitable)
Engage in strategic castle defence games
