Our After School Program aims to give School aged children the chance to play together and move their bodies freely after a long day at school. Studies show that children of all ages (even the older ones!) benefit greatly from at least two hours of unstructured play in a natural, wild environment.
During this program you will find children:
Climbing trees, playing in creeks - being kids again!
Building self directed projects from natural resources
Using hand tools such as: hand drills, pen knives, flints & hammers
Learning how to identify local flora and fauna
Having first hand experience with weather patterns & seasonal changes
Learning how to communicate, problem solve and negotiate with other children
Our Forest School Leaders will gently guide your child to use their imagination as they build, create and play freely within the Forest. A great way to slow down and embrace the wonder of childhood in this digital age.
