THE ART OF FIRE
The flames of the fire offer many opportunities for us to connect with our creative side. During this workshop we will explore the use of heat in creating pieces of art and sensory crafts including natural eco dyes, playdough & charcoal drawings. Learn some simple fire lighting techniques and how to manage a camp fire!
Children will learn to light fires using flint and steel and are taught to contain, manage and extinguish their fires. On the campfire, children will learn to tie-dye and using natural resources to create prints on fabric. Use the Kelly Kettle to boil water to make playdough for sculpting. Learn to create artist's charcoal and paint using charcoal and natural binders.
